How do you find yourself when it comes to languages? Are you quite an impressive polyglot or like myself need that little help once in a while? There are still occasions when I still find myself referring to my translator or having a quick refreshers on one of my language apps. Oh, how I wish my brain is like my 7-year-old, in the past two years he’s been learning Castellano, Valenciano and Chinese. Everything seems to be sinking in without any problems. What’s this superpower? And where can … [Read more...]

Friday Find: Rainy Pot
Friday is usually is my 'inspiration' day. Doing the job that I do, I am in constant research of anything different and on trend. And how I love days like these when I can sit down in front of my laptop with a cup of coffee in hand, browsing curious and funky designs on the internet for inspiration. My latest Friday Find would be this adorable wall hung flower pot designed by Jeong Seungbin at Korea's DailyLife Lab. As well as being practical it is also fun and visually appealing! The pots … [Read more...]

Cable and Cotton Fairy Lights
One of my favourite things during winter evenings is the excuse to switch on my 'cosy' lights a little earlier than usual. There is something about soft and warm lighting that makes me feel all fluffy inside. A month after moving in to our new home (over 2 years ago), I ordered a couple of Cable and Cotton fairy lights. Thankfully, they deliver to mainland Spain too, a little more expensive in regards of the postage, but I didn't mind, I knew they would look lush in our new home. The lights … [Read more...]
REVIEW: TheBalm Cosmetics Them Apples
A few weeks ago I briefly mentioned my 'lost' make-up during my last trip to the UK. It might seem trivial, but I try to buy all my beauty products in the UK, I guess it's just something that I am used too and I get pretty attached to them. But, thank goodness a few days later my make-up finally came, a little bruised and battered, my eyebrow palette exploded everywhere, but it's not a big deal. Hurray and my faith is again restored on the Spanish correos! To add to a good day, my order from … [Read more...]
Review: Birchbox Summer Subscription Box
I headed for the UK about three weeks ago, on my return trip I left all my make up behind. Damn those airport rules and their separate see through bags! I knew that one of these days that was going to happen. I only realise when I reached the security point that I didn't have my obligatory plastic bag. The horror. And. that was the last last day I ever wore make up. As soon as got back in Valencia, I asked my daughter to send them to me, and to cut a long story short, she didn't keep the … [Read more...]
Momiji Keyring Prize thanks to Momiji
I can't really remember what got me in to Momiji in the first place, but from what I can recall my little obsession started about seven years ago. I've always been into the Japanese kawaii (cute) stuff since I was little, and growing up in the Philippines, Sanrio and San-X were the most known brands, they created stuff such as Hello Kitty and Afro Ken which I really use to obsess with, from the note pads, pencil cases and school bags... I wanted it ALL! Since then I've never shook off that … [Read more...]
Stylish Summer Glasses from ASOS
Summer is finally here, and one thing I learned last year was to invest in some good sunglasses. Not only they are an absolute necessity, but they also make you look pretty cool and hide those heavy eye bags on early morning school runs! Everyone here wears them. Indoors, outdoors, winter, spring and during the summer you will find them permanently glued to my head. Last year I went through about five cheap sunglasses and being pretty clumsy, I tend to sit on them or drop them, so in total, … [Read more...]
Birchbox: Finding out the Best Beauty Products in Spain
I've always loved trying out beauty products and when I was back in the UK I was always up to date with the latest make-up or beauty ranges, but since moving to Spain, I have put my beauty needs in the back burner due to the lack of brands that I am familiar with. Surprisingly enough, I have not gone out and made the effort to try and find out the best beauty products in Spain and I've not really had the time. I'm a fan of brands such as, Benefit, Urban Decay, No7, Soap & Glory, Botanics … [Read more...]
The best DSLR camera for bloggers
I remember my first camera, back in 1994, I was 17 years old just fresh in to Art college. One of the things I owned was a Minolta 600si which served me a few years. I’ve always loved taking photographs, but only for fun, I wouldn’t consider myself a professional though I would like to learn more about the subject. The latest camera I have owned was the Panasonic Lumix FZ20 that little baby lasted me over 7 years and I loved it until it met it demise last year, it has lasted me for so long and … [Read more...]
