I’ve always loved trying out beauty products and when I was back in the UK I was always up to date with the latest make-up or beauty ranges, but since moving to Spain, I have put my beauty needs in the back burner due to the lack of brands that I am familiar with. Surprisingly enough, I have not gone out and made the effort to try and find out the best beauty products in Spain and I’ve not really had the time.
I’m a fan of brands such as, Benefit, Urban Decay, No7, Soap & Glory, Botanics just to name a few. I know that a lot of these brands are not available here, so when I take a trip back to the UK, I tend to stock up and bring enough to last me for the next trip. But, that is not always the case and sometimes I tend to run of the things I need the most.
But what I did find out, is that Birchbox is available is Spain. Birchbox is an online beauty subscription service, where you can subscribe for a monthly fee and in return you receive a nicely presented box with sample beauty products to try each month. I gather that if I try doing it this way, I would at least have an idea of beauty brands available and which ones suits my needs without being overwhelmed by brands that I am not familiar with.

One problem when I first signed up with Birchbox was that my house location in the campo was ‘complicated’ for couriers to find. So for eight months, I had problems with deliveries. But after moving to my office in the city two months ago, my subscriptions have been arriving with no problems. Birchbox España have been great with their customer service and have even compensated me for 8 months of trouble!
So now, with those problems quickly forgotten, I’m pretty excited to find out what’s available out there and trying something completely new! Here is my second box full of new beauty goodies to try. I will follow on with a more detailed post to show you just what Birchbox has in store for me this month!
